[Australia] - Be Part of the World's Largest Study into the Health and Well-being of our Children

ACHESS is the Australian Study of Child Health in Same-Sex Families and the end of November 2012 marks the closing of the recruitment phase.

That means, if you are a same-sex attracted parent with children in Australia you can help in this landmark study which is the largest in the world of it's kind.

Our families are the most precious things to us and the health and well-being of our families is paramount.  I believe that as a same-sex attracted parent I have a duty to do everything in my power to ensure my children grow up safe, happy and healthy. And I know that all GLBTI parents share the same view.

Ensuring that is always the challenge, but one way we can is to help make sure there is lots of data on the health and well-being of our families.  It will help direct health policy, political policy, anti-discrimination policy.  Governments rely on good data.  This is one way that we can all help get that data.

So, Gay Dads Australia urges all Australian GLBTI parents to visit the ACHESS website today and participate in the study.  It will take only a short amount of time but your participation will help make a difference for our children and their future.

If you are interested in taking part please contact Dr Simon Crouch at the Jack Brockhoff Child Health and Wellbeing Program:
