[USA] - Gay Voices' 30 Days of LGBT Giving: Family Equality Council - The Huffington Post

Did you know that the US based Family Equality Council grew out of a support network for gay dads?  I didn't!

The Huffington Post is featuring their "30 Days of LGBT Giving" and today their focus is on the Family Equality Council.

What started as a small group of gay fathers looking for a support network has now grown into the Family Equality Council, one of the largest advocates for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender families since 1982.

With over one million LGBT parents and their two million children, organizations like the FEC work not only to connect these families, but also to provide resources to LGBT couples looking to start a family and to create "a world where all loving families are recognized, respected, protected, and celebrated."

On Tuesday, HuffPost Gay Voices partnered with the council in a live Twitter chat about LGBT families and adoption in honor of November being National Adoption Month.
