The Gay News Network are reporting that the 25th Midsumma carnival in Melbourne next year (2013) has commissioned a production piece entitled "Gaybies", created by Dean Bryant. It tells the real life stories of children of same-sex aprents, surrogate mums, donor dads, co-parents and guardians. This certainly looks like a show that we will go see.

The script is fresh from interviews so expect a hearty mix of the hotly political and the deeply personal. Funny, charming, sad and inspiring, Gaybies is a show for everyone who cares for, or wants to care for our greatest asset, children.
