There are two men in central regional Victoria who are amazingly dedicated and generous GLBTI activists. Their support, community and outreach work in this regional area is something to be immensely proud of. But that is not what this post is about. It is about the love they have for each other. Damien and Cris give so much to others. The work they do for the community is amazing. It was so special to help them slow down - to provide a space to share whilst I photographed them. My focus is never to pose, but to invite sharing of stories and feelings with each other. This provides me the opportunity to photograph them from the inside out capturing real images with real feeling. It was such an honour to spend time with these two gorgeous souls and preserve their love and it was so extra special that they were open to sharing their images and letters publicly.
These sessions are called Beloved Sessions. I work worldwide, but am based in Shepparton, Victoria. I would love to photograph other couples and families, commitment ceremonies and same sex marriages someday in the same way.
